ABOUT THE MASTER PLAN
The UNSW Canberra City campus Master Plan will identify site development for all stages of construction. The plan will be a combination of UNSW concepts and principles coordinated with site information, functional requirements and organisational objectives.
A focused engagement process is central to the development of the master plan and will help shape the campus vision and strategy. UNSW Canberra is committed to continued consultation with key stakeholders throughout this project, including, but not limited to the Canberra Institute of Technology, the National Capital Authority, the ACT Government, local residents and industry.
UNSW Canberra City will be located in the middle of Canberra’s research and innovation corridor on sites either side of Constitution Avenue in Parkes and Reid.
The iconic precinct, on a site of national significance will neighbour some of Canberra’s anchor institutions with ANU and CSIRO on the West and the Australian Defence Force Academy and The Defence and Intelligence Headquarters in Russell to the east.
The new campus’ central location will foster the valuable connections with Defence, industry and academia and forms part of the concept of the Defence and Security Innovation Precinct.
