About the Master Plan
The UNSW Canberra Master Plan will provide the University with the conceptual layout which will deliver the campus vision. The Master Plan will guide the campus development and will position the building envelopes, open green spaces, the road and footpath network.
The plan shows how the campus development is integrated and connected to the city and surrounding environment.
A focused engagement process is central to the development of the Draft Master Plan and UNSW Canberra is committed to continued consultation with key stakeholders, staff and the community. To contact us click here.
Campus Location
UNSW Canberra City will be located in the centre of Canberra’s research and innovation corridor on sites either side of Constitution Avenue in Reid and Parkes.
The new campus is five minutes walk from the CBD and will neighbour some of Canberra’s anchor institutions with ANU and CSIRO on the west and the Australian Defence Force Academy and the Defence and Intelligence Headquarters in Russell to the east.
CIT Reid which is currently based on the Reid block is set to move to a flagship CIT facility based in the Woden Town Centre.
The new UNSW campus’ central location will foster the valuable connections with Defence, industry and academia and forms part of the concept of Launch.
UNSW Canberra City Draft Master Plan
UNSW established a number of design objectives that will respond to the needs of the site, neighbourhood and University.
